22 & 23 October - International Convention Centre, Birmingham
NHER/SAVA has announced final details of this year's conference, to be held... outside of London, RARR!
What's more, it's just 0.6 miles from Birmingham New Street Rail Station (directions - Google Maps), so there's no need to drive.
On Wednesday (22nd) there is a members-only breakfast meeting where you can collar senior management or just show off your table manners before disgracing yourself at the evening drinks reception at the Birmingham Aquarium.
The two-day event is open to both NHER/SAVA members and non-members alike and there are four "strands" you can follow (although I'm not quite sure how they correlate with the timetable in the conference brochure) run along three themes: policy, market, and technology.
CPD
Five sessions qualify for CPD including:
- Understanding Passive Haus (should be interesting);
- RdSAP 9.82 - latest developments and the future;
- and a DEAs guide to sampling techniques, amongst others.
Speakers
Brian Scannell will kick-off and close the conference and there's an interesting mix of speakers booked for the various sessions:
- · Mike Ockenden, AHIPP
- · Alan Milstein, CHIPS
- · Maria Wardrobe, NEA
- · Andrew Warren, ACE
- · Neil Morton, Birmingham City Council Housing
- · Dr. Robert Cohen, ESD
- · Neil Schofield, Worcester Bosch
- · Robert Kyriakides, Genersys
- · Dr. Neil Cutland, Inbuilt
- · Jonathan Rawcliffe, Bidwells
- · Neil Kurz, NRG Experts
And you may even encounter someone thrusting a microphone to your face posing exceedingly difficult questions!
