Downtime interrupts service
Well, it's been a week - To state the bleedin' obvious.
Podcast day is always a hectic time. Tuesday's DEA podcast with Brian Scannell of SAVA, was no different.
After doing the usual post-production on the first part, I uploaded it to the server, sat down for my evening meal, dashed out to perform some errands and then returned to perform post-production on the second part.
Having done all that, I attempted to upload part two only to discover something I was not too surprised to learn... there was no more room!
There are now 17 podcasts with file-sizes of anything between 20-35 MB, and that's in addition to the database and files that make-up this site. So, it's hardly surprising really.
Later...
So I fire-up my email client and there's an email from my upstream host: Server migration tomorrow (Wed 24th). Oh joy!
To be fair, I was actually informed last month but, ya know how it is...!
As I write this, it's now Thursday and both this site, and another I have on here, are both still down. Plus, I'm not receiving email from them either.
So I'm sat here praying nothing has been messed-up in the move - Clearly, if you are reading this, something went right.
Anyway, there you go - That's what happened. Please accept my apologies remembering that I don't get paid for this.
As soon as it's all running smoothly again, I'll chisel-out some more space so that the extraordinarily high levels of service you've become accustomed to, is resumed... including part two of The DEA Podcast with the big dawg of the EPC industry, Brian Scannell.
And just to keep you blog-subscribers up-to-date, there is also last week's podcast with Stephen Callaghan, Chief Executive Property-Careers.com to catch-up on!
