An odd update!
Well, Peter Ambrose of The Partnership Ltd heard a rumour of a possible 'major ministerial announcement' to be made today - I don't think he thought it would amount to another DEA numbers update, however.
So here we go then (boy is this becoming tedious!):
Stage | Number of assessors/candidates |
---|---|
Accredited | 5150 (+494) |
Qualified | 976 (-291) |
Passed exams | 3622 (-136) |
Total in system who have passed exams or progressed further | 9748 (+67) |
OK I'm not going to over-analyse this because, quite frankly, it's tea-time!
Briefly then; it's been 12 working days since the last update when we witnessed an average rate of 34.1 accreditations per day. This period it works out to 41.2 - Reversing a downward trend.
But wait! Total numbers entering the system has dropped considerably: Just 67!
And that's over 12 working days - Last time it worked out to an average of 356 per week!
Remarkable.
Regional distribution of accredited Domestic Energy Assessors
Region | Number Accredited as of 16th Oct 2007 |
---|---|
North West | 627 (+49) |
North East | 229 (+23) |
Yorkshire & the Humber | 421 (-) |
East Midlands | 362 (+43) |
West Midlands | 494 (+33) |
East of England | 531 (+46) |
London | 407 (+32) |
South East | 858 (+78) |
South West | 628 (+55) |
Wales | 277 (+27) |
Unknown | 316 (+108) |
Total | 5150 (+494) |
Tell you what though... that "Unknown" row looks suspiciously high: From 208 to 316? That seems an extra-ordinary rise.
No increase in Yorkshire and Humberside?
Also, a couple of minor differences from the usual format:
Eastern has been renamed East of England; and whereas the North West has always been the first region to be listed in the official Govt table; this time it is the North East.
