Top of the page - No website required
Something I meant to post ages ago...
Ever done a search for something in a particular town and seen a picture of a map, together with one or two business listings... in number 1 position?
It's free and you don't even need a website!
It's called the "One Box" (Don't ask me why; it hardly describes its purpose, do it!).
The Google One Box only displays around 1 to 3 businesses for a location. For example, the picture above is from a search for [domestic energy assessor Leatherhead].
I tell ya, if I were you, I'd get to it quick before someone else does.
How?
Oh yeah, pop along to the Google Local Business Centre, slam in your business address and wait for them to post you details of how to confirm you are, who you say you are (Don't want your competitor registering in your name, do you).
Note: Google can (and does) make changes to what it does. Therefore, if you don't appear in the One Box, or it doesn't appear at the top, then... I dunno; go and start a petition on the Governments website, or sommat.
BTW... You have signed that petition, right?
