Getting back into it
DEAs breaking into the world of self-employment for the first time will come to appreciate that enforced breaks - or holidays - tend to become a pain. They either cause financial suffering or just completely "break your groove"...
I've always found getting my funky groove back bloody difficult, quite frankly - Even weekends dampen my groove! Well, they used to.
So consider this a post to break my inertia... just saying hello before putting on my new funked-up dancing shoes and leotard.
Having said that, whilst perusing my blog-reader - Oh, in case you didn't know, Neil Kurz (NRG Experts) is blogging again, welcome back Neil (NRG Experts blog) - I just noticed that...
TickEveryBox.com is For Sale
Back in August of last year I asked whether tickeverybox.com was breaking HIPs law. The website claimed that users of its private home-selling service may avoid procuring a HIP. It sparked quite a debate with the website-owner, David Roberts, himself wading in.
Despite our differences of opinion on the matter, I happened to think he was a genuine guy trying to offer a good, honest service. The site was around before HIPs so it certainly wasn't created to exploit some loophole.
I don't know whether the laws surrounding HIPs was ultimately the reason behind selling the domain (I suspect it was the "credit-crunch" personally) but I could see a lot of work (including a not inconsiderable sum of money) had been invested into what is quite a fierce market - I can imagine it must have been a difficult decision to let go.
Nevertheless, I wish David etal the best and should you happen to be interested in buying the domain, you can make an offer for tickeverybox.com via Sedo
