Calls to end First Day Marketing on April 1st 2008
In the absence of any support from DEA and HIP industry representatives, plucky DEA, Charlotte Lawrance, has decided to step up to the plate instead.
She has created a petition on the Downing Street website calling for the Govt to not only end First Day Marketing (FDM) of HIPs, but to bring forward the date of its demise to April 2008.
Many 1000s' of people have remortgaged their homes, took loans and worked very hard to train as a DEA and Home Inspector.
These hardworking people who wanted to work in a new career for a rewarding wage have been penalised enough by the withdrawal of mandatory HCRs'. There are now more than enough DEAs' to bring forward the end of first day marketing to April 2008 instead of leaving it till the 31st of May 2008. So show your support for these hardworking DEAs and sign today.
Ceasing first day marketing will not cause any unnecessary delays to homeowners.
I'm not sure the wording of the petition will be understood by industry outsiders, nevertheless, it clearly demonstrates that DEAs are concerned that the current FDM transitionary arrangements are an imposition to their livelihoods.
