I'm based in Warrington and I'll do the EPC survey within a day or so. You will see cheaper prices quoted on the Internet but they are call centers that farm the surveys out to assessors who don't have enough work, they want your credit card details up front and once they have got your money it can take two weeks before anyone comes to do the survey; if they come at all, and another week before you get the certificate. There's no call centre and no delay, pay me when I get there and you'll receive the EPC, by email, next working day. The price is £50 and that's what you pay. There's no VAT and no extras. Phone me anytime between 8am and 8pm, including Saturday and Sunday and I will usually answer, if I don't answer and you leave a message I will call you back within a half an hour.
