I genuinely believe that Energy Performance Certificates (EPCs) are making a difference and helping people to become more aware of saving money through energy efficiency. The majority of my clients at the very least change to low energy light bulbs before I complete the survey. Several have even increased their loft insulation for the survey and a few landlords have called me back in to resurvey because they've improved heating controls or upgraded the boiler. I take time to explain the process and what the results are likely to be and what recommendations will likely be on the EPC.
