What's so different about ProDEA then?
(Update for students of history: ProDEA is no longer, though both guests remain practicing DEAs.)
When plucky DEA, Charlotte Lawrance, first petitioned Government to end First Day Marketing back in February 2008, little did she realise, then, how it would lead to the formation of ProDEA, a not-for-profit organisation aiming to promote the interests of Domestic Energy Assessors (DEAs) under a "kitemark" of professional standards.
Her obvious passion attracted the attention of fellow DEAs following her post on the Home Inspector Forum back in July 2008 - Is it just me? - which generated 30 pages of discussion.
The post sowed a seed, spurring others like co-podcast-guest, Kevin Archer of arc-deas.com, to help Charlotte develop an action plan to address the amassed concerns raised in the thread. Two months later, on 24th September 2008, ProDEA was born.
Currently, ProDEA is a working group of able DEAs setting the foundations for a targeted launch in January 2009.
Kevin Archer and Charlotte take time out to discuss business.

Show-notes
- Why? What is ProDEA's unique selling proposition?
- Won't a quality 'kitemark' get abused like others have done with another "institute"?
- ProDEA participating in Govt. EPC campaign.
- CLG Working Group: as a member, Charlotte tells us if it is a serious CLG initiative.
And loads more obviously.
With thanks to Charlotte Lawrance and Kevin Archer.
