Linda Gray, Jim Gillespie, Neil Kurz and myself discuss the news and upcoming meeting with Ruth Kelly of the CLG
On this podcast we're fortunate to have Linda Gray of Grays Homes who has tirelessly campaigned on behalf of the erstwhile disenfranchised domestic energy assessor to Government and anyone else who will listen. It is thanks to her efforts - along with David Thompson, Jackie Oliver and our two other guests, Neil Kurz and Jim Gillespie, that the concerns of DEAs nationally will finally reach the ears of Ruth Kelly - Minister for Local Government - this coming Monday 11th June 2007.
So in this podcast we discuss the highlights of recent home information pack news and look ahead to the upcoming meeting with Ruth Kelly
You can find the podcast here (MP3, approx 50 mins).
Podcast Notes
We had some intermittent problems with sound glitches - apologies but that's live broadcasting for ya!
I mentioned the Maxthon browser for help with auto-filling the numerous registration forms - I didn't mention that the built-in form-filler is only found in Maxthon 2 (although there is a plug-in available for Maxthon 1).
Note: Maxthon 2 is currently beta (though it has been stable for me).
The thread in which lyncrozier revealed the problems she had with the server crashing during her exam with the NAEA.
property-careers.com - The company which has assumed the workload of the now defunct energy-assessors.com
I mentioned an article which was written about the not-so-public possible side-agenda of the RICS applying for the Judicial Review, i.e., the RICS not being "rubber-stamped" as part of the ombudsman scheme. The article was written by David Perkins and it can be found here at Estate Agency News.
Get over to DEAHI to be part of the statistic that shows Government how many of you DEAs are ready.
