Martin Hughes (Now Energy) and Nick Phillips
In this 10th podcast, Martin Hughes - MD of Now Energy Ltd - discusses the latest EPC news and talks about the working realities of servicing the phenomenal demand of EPC instructions - joke!
But we do have two world exclusives! One of which should ease a lot of potential concerns you might have, insofar as admin burdens go, when the deluge of business does (eventually) happen - you gotta hope haven't ya!
Listen: EPC work and lessons (mp3)
We also look ahead to 10th September 2007, when HIPs become mandatory for 3-bed homes, and try to forecast what lies ahead.
From our environmental correspondant
We are also joined by Nick Phillips (AKA: SthglosHI) a DEA in South Gloucestershire, who kindly drops-in to share the various challenges he has faced in the field, including lessons he has picked-up along the way - required listening, particularly for those finding their feet (or who have still yet to conduct an EPC survey).
Nick has been one of the rare few to have received as many as 18 EPC instructions from various sources (including his own) since the launch of Home Information Packs on August 1st.
All-in-all, lots of interesting stuff in this bumper-packed podcast extravaganza.
As always, extreme thanks and gratitude to both Martin and Nick for time volunteered and suffering, yes... another two catastrophic failures!
